Fans were disheartened to learn that Deborah Ann-Woll’s Karen Page and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson will be absent in Daredevil: Born Again. However, it seems as though their absence is set to be a key factor in the series.
Foggy Nelson and Karen Page are key supporting characters to Matt Murdock in the Daredevil comics, with many feeling their absence in Daredevil: Born Again would be like having a Spider-Man project with no Aunt May or Mary Jane. However, it seems as though their presence will still be felt in the series, with Murphy’s Multiverse claiming their absence will be a key plot point in the opening arc, with Elden Henson potentially returning to film a flashback scene.
While it’s a shame that Deborah Ann-Woll and Elden Henson won’t return as key players (at least for now), it’s a consolation for fans that they’ll still impact the story of Daredevil: Born Again. There’s currently no word on what the story of the opening arc will be, but it’ll likely hold some ties to Wilson Fisk’s war on vigilantes. Though truly only time will tell how Foggy Nelson and Karen Page impact Matt Murdock’s story.
What to expect from the new Daredevil series
